The Kinematics Starter Kit includes a range of sensing capabilities to support the development of Kinematic (IMU) sensing applications based on the state of the art Shimmer platform. This entry level offering is perfect for researchers and developers looking to conduct proof of concept, test/develop algorithms, or evaluate the Shimmer platform and kinematic modules.

With a 3 axis accelerometer integrated onto the Shimmer platform as standard, the Kinematics Starter Kit also includes Gyro and 9DoF (Mag/Gyro) modules. The kit provides capabilities to perform static and dynamic orientation, inertial measurement, and complex 3D motion sensing.

Shimmer provides a highly configurable and extensible platform, and enables the user to capture and transmit raw data specific to their application requirements. The kit provides complete development environment for Bluetooth*, IEEE 802.15.4*, or local storage in body worn applications, and is ideal for testing and establishing a range of applications from activity monitoring to complex motion sensing - all free from any wired constraints.

Supported by a range of development software tools and applications including LabVIEW and C# applications this ensures simplicity in the creation of wearable wireless solutions.
